Steve began his professional career as Law Clerk to Chancellor William T. Allen of the Delaware Court of Chancery, which is the premier business litigation court in America.
In 1991, Steve became an associate at the Wilmington, Delaware office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, where his practice focused on corporate and shareholder litigation involving large public companies.
Steve moved to Georgia in 1994. He was Special Counsel at Holland & Knight, LLP and at Friend, Hudak & Harris, LLP.
Since moving to Georgia, Steve has broadened his practice to include litigation and counseling regarding a variety of complex business matters, with a particular emphasis on computer and technology contracts, privacy, e-commerce and Internet law.
Steve has first chair jury trial experience and has handled many successful appeals in the state and federal courts.
Steve graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in economics. He scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. He received his juris doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) where he was an Editor of the Law Review.
Steve is a member of the Executive Committee of the Privacy and Technology Section of the Georgia Bar Association. He is AV rated with Martindale-Hubbell and is rated as a Super Lawyer.
